Karl O’Connor studied Law at NUI Galway and graduated from NUI Galway in 1997 with an LLB (Honours) Degree. He later qualified as a Solicitor in March 2003. Karl trained and worked for a leading Midlands firm with offices based both in the Midlands and County Galway for over 18 years and gained extensive general practice experience, before joining Sheehan & Co. in 2018.

Karl has practiced in a wide range of areas, from Litigation including Personal Injuries and Medical Negligence, representing clients in the District, Circuit and High Courts, he also has extensive experience in the areas of Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, Licencing, Employment law, Family Law and Probate.

Karl has also represented clients before the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse and the Residential Redress Board. Karl currently specialises in Commercial & Residential Conveyancing , Litigation including Commercial Litigation and Employment Law.

Karl holds a Certificate in Mediation and a Diploma in Notarial Law & Practice. Karl has been appointed as a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Ireland for Galway, and the surrounding counties Mayo, Clare, Roscommon, Tipperary and Offaly and has been Commissioned for Life.

Karl is also admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
